My son and I have followed the world’s problems for many years now, everything from global warming and world politics to the psychological and spiritual state of the individual. A common theme seems to appear everywhere…. there are viable solutions to almost every one of these problems! The only thing that seems to get in the way is this thing we call money… but wait! What is this money thing of which you speak? Where did it get such incredible power it would cause an organism to self destruct all the while knowing its happening. What exactly is the value of money while being weighed against the continuity of our entire race? THAT is what I am trying to find out.
I have this insane idea that if we have the appropriate material here on earth and there are people willing to do the work then it seems pretty ridiculous to imagine why we don’t already have a colony on mars. Money means nothing and Humanity means everything, that seems like a no-brainer to me but after much research I have found that people were seemingly distracted by odd things like having more stuff than your neighbour or they just didn’t have enough information to make an educated decision.
My son and I were curious why our focus is not on the preservation of Humanity, the one thing that is absolutely necessary for ALL other possible future? It seemed to be a lack of common focus or a MISSION STATEMENT that was missing! Something we could all agree was more important to all of us than any one of us. Something that would take precedence in all decision making and planning… sound impossible? I think it is possible and I believe we can do it from the ground up. Let’s open a discussion and figure out how….
